Koenigsegg Jesko Red Cherry Edition: the cherry on top

The Koenigsegg Jesko Red Cherry Edition is a one-off recently unveiled by the brand that was not counted among the 125 units originally planned for production.

The Koenigsegg Jesko made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show last March with the goal of becoming the fastest car in the world. To achieve that, the Swedish hypercar showed off its credentials: 1,600 CV, 1,500 Nm of torque, a weight of 1,420 kilograms and enough aerodynamic aids that a tonne of downforce pins it to the ground as if glued.

Obviously, a car this crazy comes with a dizzying price tag. To get one of the 125 units the manufacturer produced, buyers had to pay 2.5 million euros. We say “had to” because despite its exorbitant price, all units sold out in just a few days.

125+1 units of the Koenigsegg Jesko have been built

However, it turns out that only 125 were not built; there is one more unit. Counting the spectacular Koenigsegg Jesko Red Cherry Edition that stars in these lines, there are 126 examples of this model in the world. This model is a one-off, or in other words, a unique car.

If you are a multimillionaire, owning a supercar is practically a must, but if your level of eccentricity reaches another level, Christian von Koenigsegg is the right man to make your dreams come true. Proof of this is the Koenigsegg Jesko Red Cherry Edition, a car that, as its name suggests, is the cherry on top of this wheeled madness.

This very special edition stands out above all for its cherry red colour. If you spot a “conventional” Koenigsegg Jesko on the street and you don’t get whiplash, something is wrong with you, but if it’s this particular unit, tell your grandchildren, because it is a one-of-a-kind car in the world.

Carbon fibre has further reduced the weight of the Koenigsegg Jesko Red Edition

Koenigsegg has left the carbon fibre bare on a good number of the car’s parts, such as the front splitter, the enormous rear diffuser, the wheel-arch gills and some parts of the monstrous rear wing. In case the design wasn’t aggressive enough already, the brand has added two longitudinal stripes to finish off the look.

Another difference of this one-off compared with a “conventional” model is the wheels. They have a five-spoke design and are made of carbon fibre, measuring 20 inches on the front axle and 21 inches at the rear. The manufacturer has not shared any photos of the interior, but it is most likely that it has been modified to match the eye-catching exterior colours.

Setting aside the spectacular makeover of this unit, the car’s weight has been reduced, although the small manufacturer has not wanted to give any official figures.

This Koenigsegg Jesko Red Cherry Edition is currently for sale at an ultra-exclusive German car dealership. We don’t know whether the car has already been sold or is still looking for a garage, but what we do know is that, if it is still for sale, the car will not leave the dealership for less than 3 million euros.
