Lamborghini could present a limited-edition supercar at Frankfurt
The Frankfurt Motor Show could host the debut of the model chosen by Lamborghini to represent the birth of the brand.

The luxury car manufacturer that crowns its models with a bull has used the Monterrey Car Week to present its Lamborghini Aventador SVJ 63 Roadster and its Lamborghini Huracan EVO GT Celebration, but it seems the company is saving something very special for the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show, which runs from September 10 to 22.
Through its Twitter social network account, the manufacturer has teased the possibility of launching a mysterious new model featuring a double-bubble roof and angular LED daytime running lights that mimic those used on the 2017 concept; Lamborghini Terzo Millennio.

Speaking of the latter, the resemblance to the Lamborghini Terzo Millennio is striking, as both models have a low ride height, a similar roof design and almost vertical front fenders. However, we know the vehicles are different because the internal LED lights on the Lamborghini Terzo Millennio were flat, whereas those on this model slope downward.
In the social media post, Lamborghini was left speechless by the model, but published that “something new is waiting for you. Open your eyes to the future and you’ll see it.” As for its design, it will feature an especially aggressive front end, an imposing bonnet, will be very low and with particularly futuristic lines.
Something new is waiting for you.
Open your eyes to the future and you’ll see it.

What mysterious model does Lamborghini want to present at the Frankfurt Motor Show?
While the company is trying to throw people off the scent, earlier reports have suggested the model could be a limited-edition hypercar inspired by the Terzo Millennio. Will Lamborghini want to be part of the new Le Mans hypercar class, as the Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus is?
Little is known about the model, but it is reportedly codenamed LB48H and could feature a hybrid propulsion system with a V12 engine. This remains unconfirmed, but rumours have suggested the successor to the Lamborghini Aventador could be offered with a plug-in hybrid powertrain combining a naturally aspirated V12 with up to three fully electric motors.
Potentially, this could allow the car to produce around 1,014 CV. Returning to the hypercar unveiled by Lamborghini via its Twitter profile, everything points to it potentially reaching a price of 2.2 million euros. In addition, according to some sources, it has already been shown to potential buyers over the past year and could be sold out.

Production of this hybrid hypercar will be limited to 63 units, a number that, incidentally, is a clear nod to the year Lamborghini was founded, which also tells us how important this hybrid will be for the company, being nothing less than the model chosen to represent the birth of the brand.
Its market debut is expected in 2020, and another of the most interesting details about it is that its electric motor will be able to run on a single charge for around 30 or 50 kilometres, making it perfect for short trips around the city.
