Lancia announces the return of the legendary Delta
Luca Napolitano, CEO of the Lancia brand, has officially confirmed that the Lancia Delta will become a fully electrified reality

In recent times, we have heard many rumours about the end of the Lancia brand. A brand founded in 1906, with a long record of competition victories behind it, which gave the world legendary models such as the Lancia Stratos, the 037, the Thema 832 and the Fulvia.
Faced with this flood of rumours, Luca Napolitano, CEO of Lancia since last June, has confirmed the return of this great brand for 2024, with a new generation of the Ypsilon, the latest model we were able to see on sale in our country.
Alongside this comeback, Napolitano has announced the big news that many motoring enthusiasts were waiting for: the return of the Lancia Delta. As you can imagine, this return will be somewhat similar to what Opel did with the Manta GSe Elektromod, since the long-awaited Delta will be a 100% electric model.

Stellantis plans
The plans of the Stellantis Group are to position Lancia as one of the main premium brands within the group, betting on technology and electrification. To this end, Lancia will produce only electric vehicles from 2024, just like its sister brands within the group, Alfa Romeo, Maserati or DS.
Let us recall that Lancia currently operates only in the Italian market, where it sells only the Ypsilon, a model that was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2011 and has undergone several facelifts during the ten years it has been on sale.
Luca Napolitano, in this interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, has previewed that the new Delta will be “an exciting car, a manifesto of progress and technology. And of course, it will be electric”.

A great responsibility
With all this, Lancia will have the important mission of creating a car with character and personality, one that keeps the DNA of this legendary model that won the hearts of fans and non-fans of the brand alike. An electric car that promises exemplary dynamic behaviour and performance worthy of what the original model meant.
