Lexus LS600h: range and prices
The Lexus LS600h arrives in Spain, featuring a hybrid system with a 445 CV V8 engine and a wide range of safety options.

One of the most powerful hybrids in the world, the Lexus LS600h has landed in our country, with the novelty that the F-Sport trim is now available for sale in Spain.
The new generation of the LS600h will be available in two body styles: a short wheelbase version comprising the LS 600h Hybrid, Hybrid Drive and F Sport, and the long version, the LS600h Hybrid Plus. The double-spindle grille inherits the brand’s design language introduced with the GS 450h and RX 450h; in this case, the chrome surround covers the entire perimeter of the grille. On the LS 600h, the grille sits lower than the headlights, and the lower edge of the bumper is also positioned closer to the ground. The front grille plane has been raised, providing more space under the bonnet, and the rear adopts a trapezoidal shape.
A hybrid V8 with 445 CV

Mechanically, the new LS 600h features a 445 CV hybrid engine, combining a high-performance electric motor with a 5.0-litre V8 engine. This system delivers the performance of a 6.0-litre V12 with the fuel efficiency and low emissions of a 3.0-litre V6.
Compared with the current generation, performance has been improved (0-100 km/h acceleration in 6.1 seconds versus 6.3), and emissions and consumption have been reduced by 10% (199 g CO2 versus 218 g, and 8.6 litres versus 9.3). Emission levels below 200 g of CO2 allow this new generation to fall into a lower bracket of the registration tax (9.75%).
The hybrid transmission provides permanent all-wheel drive through an electric motor with a two-speed reduction system (for maximum acceleration at low speeds and high performance at high speeds).
Safety

There are two types of pre-collision systems. The standard Precrash (F Sport version), which includes a front millimetre-wave radar, and the Advanced Precrash (Hybrid Drive and Hybrid Plus versions), which additionally incorporates a pedestrian recognition camera and a rear radar for rear-end collisions. The pre-collision system continuously analyses distance, relative speed and vehicle direction data in order to assess the risk of collision.
When the system detects a high probability of a collision, the display shows a warning message, the braking system increases hydraulic pressure to achieve minimum response time, and an audible alert is triggered to warn the driver. If the driver does not react and the collision is deemed unavoidable, the system pretensions the seatbelts and acts on the brakes to help minimise damage.
In addition to pedestrian detection and the rear radar, a facial recognition system is fitted, which detects whether the driver’s eyes are open or closed, with an audible alert and a warning brake application if the driver does not respond.
