Lotus Evora GT410: cheaper and better equipped

The Lotus Evora GT410 aims to offer greater affordability without giving up any of the dynamic performance of the Sport version. It also doesn’t fall short on equipment. Here are all the details.

We don’t often talk about Lotus because its news isn’t as frequent as that of many other mainstream brands. But of course, when it comes to the British, we have to do it right. Lotus is known for delighting us with sports cars of astonishing performance and designs that are, to say the least, peculiar. The star now is its Evora GT410 which arrives to give it an “entry-level” version of the GT410 Sport.

Lotus Evora GT410: value for money

According to the British firm itself, this version offers a good balance between quality and price. The goal Lotus has with this model is to have a car that can be used daily, partly thanks to fitting better equipment that increases driver comfort.

The new GT410 comes as standard with items that are optional on the Sport version. In other words, it is better equipped. It features elements such as a rear camera, air conditioning or Sparco seats as standard, plus a navigation system and infotainment compatible with Apple CarPlay.

The cabin is better soundproofed, has better materials and more storage compartments. Furthermore, the rear glass has been enlarged to give the driver extra visibility. Of course, the English have not wanted to leave any loose ends when it comes to ride comfort, and they have also fitted heated seats and cruise control as standard.

These equipment items or technical comfort improvements may seem scarce or common in other cars. But considering we are talking about a sports car, the improvements are outstanding given that Lotus’s goal is to make its Evora GT410 a car accessible for everyday use. They have approached it well. Better equipment and a lower price, of course.

The engine is the same as in the Lotus Evora GT410 Sport

Both versions feature the 3.5-liter V6 engine, 415 CV and 430 Nm. The Evora GT410’s gearbox is six-speed and manages gear transitions perfectly so as not to lose a single bit of power. The 0-100 km/h time is 4.1 seconds in this entry version, while in the Sport version it drops to 3.9 seconds. As an option, both models can be chosen with a six-speed automatic gearbox. Top speed slightly exceeds 300 km/h… Almost nothing.

As for its price, it is true that there are no figures on the Spanish market. But its starting price in Europe is just under 100,000€. There is a considerable price difference compared to the Sport version. Lotus therefore manages to launch a better-equipped, more everyday version, lowering the price although it remains within reach of only a few.
