Gravity Lucid Electric Cars SUV
Lucid Motors begins accepting orders in Europe for the Touring version of its Gravity SUV
The Touring version of the Gravity SUV from Lucid Motors is probably the most balanced, offering technical specifications and range that are more than adequate for most people at a more competitive price.
After opening orders for the most exclusive version of its new luxury electric SUV last September, Lucid Motors now consolidates its presence in the European market, just over two months later, offering customers in this market a more affordable version with a base price below 100,000 euros.
This new, more affordable version, already available in Europe from 99,900 euros, reduces its base price by 17,000 euros compared with the Gran Touring version, which could already be reserved from 116,990 euros. A saving that will, however, as might be expected, require accepting some cuts in its technical specifications.

Thus, the architecture of the Gravity Touring is 672 volts, instead of the 926 of the top-of-the-range model, and the maximum charging power supported is reduced from 400 to 250 kW. In practice, this means that at a DC fast-charging point it will take 23 minutes to add an additional 400 km of range, compared with the 14 minutes required by the Gravity Gran Touring.
The battery pack, on the other hand, has its capacity reduced to 89 kWh compared with the 123 kWh of the higher model, which translates into a homologated WLTP range of 545 km, 203 km less than the Gravity Gran Touring, which promises 748 km on a single charge.
You won’t miss a thing
As regards technical specifications, it is also worth highlighting the power of the motors. In the Touring version they deliver a combined 418 kW, allowing it to reach 100 km/h from a standstill in 4.2 seconds. A more than respectable figure for a vehicle a little over 5 metres long that weighs more than 2,700 kg on the scales. By comparison, the Gravity Gran Touring SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds, thanks to the 617 kW of combined power it enjoys.

The reduction in the price of the Gravity Touring does not, however, mean giving up a high level of comfort. Air suspension comes as standard, with the additional option of fitting the Dynamic Handling package, which adds triple-chamber air suspension and four-wheel steering to gain manoeuvrability.

The Gravity Touring also offers a generous interior space with the standard five-seat configuration, with up to 3,398 litres with the rear seats folded down, and there is also the option of fitting an optional third row of seats to accommodate seven occupants in total.

In short, although with some concessions compared with the top-of-the-range version, the Gravity Touring still offers a premium experience to all those interested in this luxury electric SUV, maintaining the same interior space, and all for a price that will fit the budget of many more European customers.
