Marvel's new superhero is called Lexus LC and is based on Black Panther

We never tire of seeing new car models that make their way from the world of cinema to the world of the automotive industry, even if it’s in the form of concepts or show cars. Such is the case of two units of the Lexus LC, which have been customized as if they were part of the team of the popular hero from the studio’s upcoming film. This was not an arbitrary choice; it was made because the Lexus LC is one of the vehicles that appear in the film.

The coupe The Black Panther Inspired Lexus LC has been presented in the form of images, but it will travel to the SEMA, the great event for tuning held in Las Vegas starting October 31. The car aims to pay tribute to the character from the film, so it features an image in which the character’s head dominates the hood, wrapped in a dark blue bodywork that blends perfectly with the character’s personality.

The bodywork has also received some minor changes to make it a bit more special for the motor enthusiasts who attend SEMA. The wheel arches have been widened to accommodate 21-inch alloy wheels, and a fixed rear spoiler has been added. In addition, the engine has been reconfigured to run on a little vibranium, the legendary mineral found beneath Wakanda, the fictional country where Prince T’Challa lives.

Marvel’s Vice President of Global Relations, Mindy Hamilton, has stated that this is the way to bring both worlds together: the rich universe of fictional characters and the automotive world. In her view, they have managed to capture in the concept model the importance that the country of Wakanda has in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with a series of innovations on the car that reflect those seen in the film.

This model will be the first of the Lexus Inspirated line, which will have only 100 units allocated to the United States, ready to represent any inspiration the customer seeks. As for the design of the Lexus LC, it can be worked on to create a fully customized vehicle with imagination as the only limit. Judging by the photos, it’s a car worth seeing, don’t you think?
