Mercedes-Benz's new CLA already has an official price in the United States

Mercedes-Benz’s new CLA will hit the streets and roads of the United States next year. Customers in that market will thus also be able to enjoy the advanced technology built into this electric saloon, which features an 800V architecture that allows charging at a maximum power of 320 kW, capable of covering around 600 km on a single charge under the EPA test cycle.

Getting hold of a new Mercedes-Benz CLA in the United States will also come with an extra bonus, as the starting prices published by the German manufacturer for that market are considerably more attractive than those it has in Europe.

Initially, two versions will be available in the United States: the CLA 250+ EQ with rear-wheel drive and the CLA 350 4MATIC EQ with all-wheel drive. The base price of the former is $47,250, while the 350 4MATIC starts at $49,800. To put this into perspective, in Germany the CLA 250+ has a base price of €55,858 — roughly $64,755 at the current exchange rate. Although the German price includes a 19 percent VAT and the US price excludes taxes, the difference is still around $8,000 in favour of the American CLA 250+.

Not long to go now

Mercedes-Benz USA has confirmed that the official presentation to the American press will take place in December 2025, and that the first units will begin to be delivered to customers shortly afterwards. From that point on, and throughout the first quarter of 2026, production and deliveries will gradually ramp up. For the time being, there is no date for the opening of the online configurator or for the start of orders.

Another important difference compared with the European CLA is that the German manufacturer will sell this electric saloon in the United States in three trim levels instead of two. The Standard includes as standard the latest-generation MBUX system, heated front seats, a glass panoramic roof, LED headlights, blind-spot assist, lane-keeping assist and numerous digital extras.

The Exclusive trim adds flush electric door handles, keyless start, parking assistant, 64-colour ambient lighting and dual-zone climate control. Meanwhile, at the top of the range, the so-called Pinnacle adds everything above plus automatic parking with 360° vision, a digital key for your phone, a hands-free power tailgate, a head-up display and soft-close doors.

The final prices for each trim are expected to be announced at the event scheduled for this coming December.
