More details about the hypothetical Ford Focus 3-door

In the latest version of the Focus, the blue oval brand decided on something as simple as not marketing the 3-door version, which did not really leave “a cuadros” because, according to the data, sales volume of this version in many markets was even higher than that of its 5-door sibling.

Shortly afterwards we learned that Ford had planned to differentiate the 3-door version much more from the rest of the range, so rumours soon began to circulate about nothing less than the resurrection of the long-awaited Ford Capri, a model that would reach the European market in response to the terrible success enjoyed by Volkswagen with the Scirocco.

But a little further from reality, when asking any executive at Ford about a 3-door Focus 3, the answer is clear: anyone who wants a three-door Ford will have to see whether a Fiesta suits them. Even so, it is still unclear how Ford can fill the niche left by the Focus 3-door, since, as we well know, the presentation of the ST version is imminent and among Ford’s plans is the development of an RS much more brutal than the latest version sold.

Well, according to the latest rumours there is still a glimmer of hope called the Mustang, a model that, as you already know, will be sold globally, so in the European market it would be logical to imagine a vehicle whose price would be around 30,000 euros, enough to compete advantageously on price with the BMW 3 Series Coupé, Audi A5 or Mercedes C-Class Coupé.

For now we can only wait, and wait some more, because if the rumours are true there is nothing we can do until, at the very least, 2014, the year in which this long-awaited model will be presented and series production will begin.
