New BMW Z4: beauty and every kind of option
The new BMW Z4 is presented as a premium convertible sports car with a classic fabric soft top. Its futuristic look, its design and its generous options promise to win over enthusiasts of the segment.
BMW has always been able to boast of having brought icons to the roadster segment, and the new Z4 comes to uphold and even extend that tradition.
The new Z4 conveys sportiness in every centimetre. Its premium sportiness comes with a classic fabric roof and an exciting, futuristic design.

Sporting prowess comes to the fore on the tarmac, with a wide range of advanced first-class equipment such as driver assistance, operability and connectivity.
A renewed and more solid construction
Compared with its predecessor, the new Z4 is 85 millimetres longer, 74 millimetres wider and 13 millimetres taller. Every cloud has a silver lining, however, as it will be more agile than its predecessor.
The body structure and chassis mounts have notably higher rigidity. Meanwhile, its new front and rear axle design gives the model a sportier touch while maintaining the brand’s characteristic levels of comfort.

The Paris Motor Show is the stage chosen by BMW to present the new Z4 next October. Its final launch will take place in March 2019 with a selection of 3 models, including, of course, the legendary BMW M Performance variant.
A design that wins hearts at first sight
It is clear that the new Z4 will not go unnoticed. Thanks to extremely elegant lines and characteristic details, the new Z4’s exterior design conveys futurism and craftsmanship in every centimetre of its slim silhouette.
This is a low, sporty and compact coupé. Thanks to the vertical arrangement of its headlights, the car has an unmistakable face from the front. It comes equipped with LED headlights as standard, with adaptive units available as an option, along with a non-dazzling high-beam matrix function and cornering lights.

Its elongated bonnet, with sharp lines shaped like arrows directed towards the kidney grille and extending over the wheel arches in pure “shell” style, gives the vehicle features typical of classic sports cars.
The rear is defined by an integrated spoiler, slender L-shaped lights and the diffuser, which give the model a very distinctive touch. Nine exterior paint colours will be available. The fabric roof comes black as standard, or in anthracite with a silver effect as an option.

The roof can be opened or closed even at speeds up to 50 km/h.
Premium, driver-focused interior
The new Z4’s cabin conveys sportiness and dynamism, wrapped in high-quality materials and offering a premium feel. Thanks to the galvanised details found inside, the model’s level of sophistication is raised.
The layout of the controls focuses attention, even more so, on driving, designed to be easy to operate without unnecessary distractions.
The seats are clearly sporty and specific to this model, and feature integrated headrests. Their upholstery is Vernasca leather as standard; however, the BMW Z4 M40i version has an interior of leather and Alcantara.

The boot has a total capacity of 281 litres, both with the roof open and closed, which represents an increase of more than 50% compared with its predecessor, which is especially welcome given that one of the biggest drawbacks of a roadster is usually its limited space.
A wide selection of engines
All of the new Z4’s engines deliver power on your journeys, paired with the latest-generation eight-speed Steptronic Sport gearbox.
The BMW Z4 M40i version features a 3.0-litre six-cylinder inline engine with M Performance TwinPower Turbo technology. It produces 340 CV and 500 Nm of maximum torque. It can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds.

As for the new BMW Z4 sDrive30i, the engine produces 258 CV and 400 Nm of torque, which allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds.
The BMW Z4 sDrive20i version has a total output of 197 CV and a maximum torque of 320 Nm, reaching 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds.
All three powertrains are fitted with a petrol particulate filter to further reduce emissions, and all variants of the model comply with the Euro 6d-TEMP emissions standard.

As for the chassis technology, it has been redesigned to provide greater agility and dynamism on the road. Thanks to a double-wishbone front axle and a five-link rear axle, which debuts for the first time on a roadster by BMW, this combination achieves a perfect balance between sportiness and comfort.
Inclusion of the latest technology and safety
The new BMW Z4 incorporates all kinds of technology, connectivity and safety. It features collision warning for pedestrians or any kind of obstacle, as well as city braking to avoid distractions.
Additions such as lane change warning come as standard. It once again features the Stop & Go function, distance information relative to other vehicles and rear collision prevention. The useful speed limiter is also available, making it one of the best allies for avoiding losing points.

One of the major new features is the Head-Up Display system, which has earned so many good reviews. Located above the steering wheel, it provides real-time information about the road and your current speed, among other things.
Connectivity is up to date thanks to a large 10.25-inch screen on which we can control almost every aspect we can imagine, such as connecting our smartphones.

We can’t wait to see this beauty in action, and as soon as we have more information we will let you know.
