New MINI Countryman, more space and functionality
New MINI Countryman
The second generation of the MINI Countryman arrives loaded with many innovations, and not only in terms of styling. In this way, the renewed and wider range of the premium compact includes what is to date the most versatile and largest vehicle in the brand’s 57 years of history. It features a completely new design with fresh, contemporary exterior lines, without losing the essence of the original vehicle.
Larger body and more versatile interior. Its exterior look reveals rugged capabilities that other members of the range do not have. It is 20 centimetres longer, 3 centimetres wider and its wheelbase has grown by about 7.5 centimetres. As a result, the interior space increases, and with it the comfort of the passengers. The rear seats can be moved up to 13 centimetres longitudinally. The folding rear seatback can be split in a 40/20/40 ratio.
In addition, the angle can also be adjusted, providing greater seat comfort and more storage space. The boot’s cargo volume is 450 litres and can be expanded up to 1,390 litres. Compared with the previous model, this represents an increase of up to 220 litres. Optionally, you can choose an electrically operated tailgate.

The optional compartment package includes a variable boot floor, lashing eyes, tension straps, and a stainless steel loading sill cover, among other items. Picnic Bench is a unique option consisting of a flexible support surface that can be removed from the boot and offers seating for two people.
One of the features you notice at a glance at the front is the new modified light signature, in which the main headlights are no longer round. Together with the optional LED headlights, a light strip surrounding the headlights completely is created for the first time. For daytime running lights, the position lights integrated into the air intakes are fitted as standard. The new MINI Countryman adds the colours Island Blue metallic and Chestnut to its existing body colour range, available for the first time.
Elements such as the black plastic wheel arch trims, the satin aluminium roof rails combined with silver sill protectors, the enamelled side scuttle additional indicators, and the hexagonal radiator grille give the new MINI Countryman a distinctive and less urban look, reflecting the evolution of this second generation.
The versatility is evident in the interior of the cabin, in addition to the various configurations of the rear seats that add functionality, and the numerous storage compartments both at the front and rear. Turning to the interior design, the quality of the materials used is evident, worthy of a premium car like the MINI.

It is a component of the MINI Excitement package, which also includes LED ambient lighting and the projection of the MINI logo from the driver’s side exterior mirror when the vehicle is opened and closed.
The standard equipment of the new MINI Countryman includes the MINI Boost radio with a 4-line display and a Bluetooth hands-free telephone system. For the new MINI Cooper S Countryman and the new MINI Cooper D Countryman, an 8-speed Steptronic gearbox is available as an option. On the MINI Cooper SD Countryman it comes as standard.
ALL4 all-wheel drive for all engine variants. You can also specify ALL4 all-wheel drive, which is available for all engine variants if desired. This optimises traction and driving stability on poor road surfaces and in adverse weather conditions, as well as agility when cornering dynamically.
