Opel 2020, the special series with which we will benefit from greater standard equipment on three models

Opel wants to start this new year with strength and, to that end, wants its future customers to benefit from more extensive standard equipment on three of its models: the Astra, the Crossland X and the Grandland X. These three models will receive the special series “Opel 2020”, with which we will have greater standard equipment in terms of safety, comfort and design, with the consequent saving compared to ordering these elements individually, as well as packs created specifically for them.

Opel Grandland X special series “Opel 2020”

The German SUV ended 2019 as the star with the arrival of its hybrid version, thus bringing the number of electric models from Opel to three, and it will also be one of the highlights of this special series “Opel 2020”. As standard, the Opel Grandland X already offers elements such as the Radio R 4.0 IntelliLink infotainment system, with a 7-inch touchscreen and compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a screen whose functionality is expanded in this special series by also incorporating a rear-view camera, as well as a front and rear parking assistant.

To this we must add further interesting elements such as front fog lights, “Solar Protect” tinted rear windows, a two-zone air conditioner and 12 V sockets distributed across the centre console, rear seats and boot. Aesthetically, its image is improved with 17-inch alloy wheels in Technical Grey, a colour also seen on the lower areas of the bodywork, and, as a contrast, chrome mouldings at both the front and the rear. Its price starts from 22,900 euros in Spain.

As I mentioned at the beginning, in addition, several packs created for these special series “Opel 2020” will be available, which for the Opel Grandland X consist of:

• Tecno Pack: Includes Navi 5.0 IntelliLink navigation, emergency call and AFL Plus LED lights for an extra 2,000 euros.
• Plug & Play Pack: Includes wireless smartphone charger, anti-theft alarm and rear 230V socket for 500 euros.

Opel Astra special series “Opel 2020”

The popular compact from Opel will also be one of the members of this special series, available both in its two-box bodywork and in its estate variant. The Opel Astra will add to its standard equipment elements such as a front camera, LED headlights, rain and light sensors, an infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and an ergonomic seat with AGR certification for the driver. Aesthetically, the Opel Astra will also include mirror housings painted in Onyx Black. All this with a starting price of 17,400 euros.

On the Opel Astra we can also complement its equipment with the packs included in this special series “Opel 2020”, thus finding the following elements:

• Edition 2020 Pack: Includes integrated navigation and fog lights for just 250 extra euros.
• Tecno Pack: Includes IntelliLux LED adaptive matrix lighting, 17-inch sports wheels and electric parking brake for an extra 2,500 euros.

Opel Crossland X special series “Opel 2020”

The other SUV available in this special series “Opel 2020” will be the Crossland X, which will also add to its standard equipment elements such as LED front and rear light units, ambient lighting on the centre console and front doors, a front and rear parking assistant and rear-view camera. Aesthetically, the B-pillars will be painted in high-gloss black, the lower body panels will be silver, and it will fit 16-inch alloy wheels. Its price starts from 16,800 euros.

The packs available for the Crossland X will add the following elements:

• Safety 2020 Pack: Includes front collision alert with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, fatigue detector and third headrest on the rear seats, all for a price of 400 euros.
• Tecno Pack: Navi 5.0 IntelliLink navigator with LED headlights with cornering lights for 1,590 euros.
• Parking Pack: Includes front and rear parking sensors, rear-view camera, Blind Spot Alert and assisted parking system. No price specified.
