The Opel Adam is the smallest vehicle in the range of the lightning-bolt manufacturer, although not the cheapest. Built with a more chic approach, the Adam continues to expand its range.

On this occasion it debuts a high-performance version on the Rocks bodywork. Meet the Adam Rocks S, a very special alternative.

No more and no less than 150 CV for the small Opel, which scores a solid win with the launch of this version. Externally, the Rocks S stands out from its siblings in the range thanks to the specific Adam S alloy wheels, measuring 17 or 18″ depending on the option chosen. It also features red-painted brake calipers, as well as a small spoiler on the tailgate, which adds a very appealing sporty touch.

Inside, the most striking change greets you as soon as you open the door: the Adam’s seats have been replaced by two outstanding semi-bucket seats signed by Recaro and trimmed in leather. They are the same ones already fitted to the Adam S. In addition, various red details have been added, such as the gear lever knob, part of the steering wheel trim and the handbrake handle. The dashboard trim carries the letter “S” in screen printing, so the intentions of the small Opel are made perfectly clear. The instrumentation has also been changed.

The engine is the same as in the Adam S: a turbocharged 1.4-litre petrol unit capable of delivering 150 CV and 220 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, which allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds, reaching a top speed of 210 km/h. Average consumption is rated at 5.9 litres per 100 km.

In addition to the engine, the Rocks S receives a stiffened suspension lowered by 15 mm, as well as an upgraded braking system and a recalibrated ESP that can be fully switched off.
