Owners can have Tesla detect problems and automatically request replacement parts
Owners will be able to cancel, at any time, the replacement parts request that vehicles have placed.

Elon Musk wants to take things a step further and is beginning to introduce a new feature in his vehicles. Now, Tesla will be able to detect mechanical problems and automatically request the replacement parts needed. Recently, the owner of a Tesla posted an image on a well-known American forum showing the service request notification that appeared on the infotainment screen of their Tesla Model 3.
In the image shared by the owner, you can read: “an unexpected condition was detected with the energy conversion system in your Tesla Model 3. A replacement part has previously been sent to your preferred Tesla service centre. Use your Tesla mobile app or your Tesla account to schedule an appointment to carry out the inspection.”

The electric car manufacturer has confirmed the existence of this mechanical problem detection system in an interview with a media outlet. Elon Musk stated that “our cars can monitor certain components to alert the owner that replacement parts are needed and order the parts before their next dealership visit”.
It is important to note that Elon Musk, CEO of the electric car company, had already expressed his intention to improve and prioritise service operations for Tesla vehicles.

Tesla vehicles are able to order their own replacement parts
The CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, has noted that “I want to point out that one of our main priorities this quarter is improving service operations. In fact, from my point of view, when I think about what my priorities are for this quarter, it is improving service in North America”.
According to Musk himself, owners of Tesla vehicles will be able to cancel the parts requested by the car if they do not believe replacement is necessary. This is a very important and very useful aspect of the new feature, as it may not always be convenient or imperative for owners to order necessary replacement parts immediately.

Live broadcasts
The request for replacement parts is not the only novelty with which Tesla is surprising users. Recently, Elon Musk himself announced that his vehicles will be able to make live broadcasts from their cars through the central screen while charging at Superchargers.
Tesla will incorporate WiFi connectivity at all Superchargers, so that vehicles can connect to this network while charging and play streaming videos in the car. Is streaming video playback while vehicles charge one of the reasons that led Tesla to change the position of its screens?

It is important to note that although video players can be accessed through the screen, they will not play while the vehicle is in motion. Therefore, Elon Musk’s recent statement comes with a catch.
Streaming videos will only be able to be played when the vehicle is connected to the brand’s Supercharger WiFi network. In this way, possible access to other networks in order to watch films or series while the car is being driven will be prevented.
