Parifex Nano, the new radar with LiDAR technology that won't let a single one slip through
This new radar, manufactured by a French company, uses 3D LiDAR technology, which makes it possible to map the space around the device and detect violations

Until now, the most advanced radar technology used by the DGT has been the veloláser, very effective devices that monitor vehicles passing through several types of roads. But these have just been surpassed by new radars, created in France and designed to be the most efficient ever used worldwide.
This is the Parifex Nano, a radar that uses 3D LiDAR technology, which is far more efficient and capable of mapping the entire environment around the device. This will make it possible not only to detect speeding violations, but also to collect information about everything that happens at the location where the device is installed.

Mapping capability
The Parifex Nano makes it possible to obtain a 360º image around the device and identify each object, whether moving or stationary. Vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians and anything else around it can be mapped and information obtained about them. In addition, its operating and data transmission speed is much higher than that of conventional radars.
It can be used on both highways and in cities, in fixed or mobile positions. The speed range it measures is 30 to 250 km/h, so it can detect almost any vehicle within that range. Furthermore, its coverage area extends across up to four lanes.
The distance this radar with 3D LiDAR technology can monitor is 100 meters, another advantage of this technology. And, to round out its functionality, they are designed to withstand any weather conditions, whether wind, rain or snow. For now, these radars are being presented to the traffic authorities of several countries, including Spain, but they are not yet in service. How long will it take for them to arrive in Spain?
