Peugeot 308: a first anniversary with strong sales figures

This month marks one year since the new Peugeot 308 went on sale, and after these twelve months on the market, the French brand is pleased with the results achieved by the model. Over recent months, its commercial appeal has been boosted by the addition of the SW estate body, the use of efficient PureTech and BlueHDi engines, the new EAT6 automatic gearboxes and the arrival of the 308 GT, which will not be long in coming.
This success is reflected in the 15,000 units registered in our country, a figure that accounts for 10% of the vehicles sold in Europe. In addition, many buyers of this model in Spain have opted for the Allure trim, the highest in the range. This also reflects the high standards of those who have chosen to buy the car.
In Europe, the estate version is gaining ground, with around 40,000 Peugeot 308 SW units already sold. This figure means that two out of every five units of this model sold on the continent have this body style. Its success has led to the initial sales forecast for this version being exceeded.
The Allure trim, which has been the favourite of buyers in our country, includes the Peugeot i-Cockpit and Full LED headlights, among other features that set it apart from the rest of the trims. The petrol engines PureTech 1.2L, PureTech 110 CV S&S and 130 CV S&S make them more efficient and effective.

As for diesel, the 1.6L BlueHDi 120 CV and 2.0L BlueHDi 150 CV engines deliver the best results, as they comply with Euro 6 regulations. The upcoming GT version will also include the 2.0L BlueHDi 180 CV and 1.6 THP 205 CV S&S engines, bringing the range to a powerful and efficient sporty version.
