Peugeot e-308 and e-308 SW: the 100% electric versions of the popular French compact make their debut
The Peugeot 308 in its saloon and shooting brake bodywork has just launched its fully electric versions, with over 400 km of range and plenty of technology

The range of the new Peugeot 308, both in its compact body and in the SW estate variant, has just been completed with the presentation of its 100% electric versions, which are called e-308 and e-308 SW and join the plug-in hybrid versions already known for this model.
With this launch, Peugeot has introduced one of the biggest novelties within its 308 range: the e-308 SW in particular is set to be the manufacturer’s first 100% electric estate, boasting range, technology and interior space, all without losing the DNA of Peugeot.
Few aesthetic changes
With arrival expected in mid-2023, both versions will be available in Allure and GT trim levels. In terms of design, 18-inch aluminium alloy wheels have been developed which, together with the aerodynamics, have been optimised to deliver greater efficiency.

The new e-308 and e-308 SW feature a completely new electric motor producing 156 CV and 260 Nm of peak torque, powered by a new-generation 54 kWh battery (51 kWh usable) with a new chemical composition that allows a range of over 400 kilometres on the WLTP cycle. According to the brand, both models are capable of an average consumption of 12.7 kWh per 100 km.
High efficiency
To manage energy consumption in the best possible way, Peugeot has provided the driver with three driving modes (ECO, Normal and Sport). In addition, the Brake mode has also been incorporated to increase deceleration when lifting off the accelerator and optimise energy recovery.

Regarding charging times, a key factor in an electric vehicle, the standard three-phase charger has an output of 11 kW, although if a 100 kW public charging point is used, the vehicle’s charge level will rise from 20 to 80% in just 25 minutes.
Returning to the standard equipment, the new e-308 models come with, among other things, adaptive cruise control with Stop and Go function, long-range blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, which detects any hazard when reversing.

On-board technology
Inside, the latest-generation Peugeot i-Cockpit takes centre stage, adding a heated compact steering wheel, a 3D digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch central touchscreen for the infotainment system.
With all this, we now just have to wait for more details such as its arrival at dealerships or its final price.
