The Swedish brand has just unveiled this special edition limited to 270 units, equipped with new suspension, chassis improvements and more power

Polestar 2 BST Edition 270

Looking back almost a year, you may remember the Polestar 2 Experimental that the brand presented at the Goodwood Festival, a prototype that arrived as a higher-performance version thanks to a series of upgrades that turned it into the ideal corner-carving machine from the Swedish marque.

Now, taking this prototype as a reference, Polestar has just unveiled its new Polestar 2 BST Edition 270, a special edition that will be limited to just 270 units for the North American and European markets and which certainly looks very promising.

Starting with its styling, the new special edition is offered in Thunder and Snow colours, featuring front and rear bumpers and sills painted in the same colour as the bodywork. In contrast to these colours, Polestar has decided to incorporate several black elements such as its 21-inch alloy wheels, the mirror housings or its front grille.

Several details that give it a greater sporty character

To give it a more aggressive touch, the brand has also made it possible to optionally equip a longitudinal stripe in matt black running the full length of the bodywork, with a large number 2 on the bonnet referencing the model name.

In addition, as it could not be otherwise, the details in “Swedish gold” colour typical of the brand are retained for its four-piston Brembo brake calipers, the valve caps, the seat belts and the Öhlins shock absorber bodies, which have allowed it to be lowered by 25 millimetres along with springs that are 20% stiffer.

A power boost

As for its mechanical section, the Polestar 2 BST Edition 270 features two electric motors that together produce 482 CV and 680 Nm of torque thanks to the Performance package and a Performance software update from Polestar. Powering these motors is the same 78 kWh battery as in the standard version.

At present, we know nothing about how many units will be allocated to each market or from what price, although we do know that the Polestar centre in Chengdu will be responsible for building this BST Edition 270.
