To all lovers of speed, and in particular fans of the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, they would surely like to see up close, or even own, one of the cars that have taken part or are taking part in this race.

That is why Porsche Exclusive is launching a special version called “Martini Racing Edition” of the 911 Carrera S, reflecting the design of the cars with which the brand competed in the 70s in Martini colours. This launch coincides with Porsche’s official return to Le Mans in the LMP1 “Sport Prototype” category.

The 911 Carrera S pays tribute to legendary models and the successes achieved by them, with which the Stuttgart brand competed at Le Mans, such as the 917 or the 935, nicknamed “Moby Dick” because of its design. In fact, Porsche has 16 victories to its credit, ahead of Audi, which has 12, and Ferrari with 9.

The special edition is limited to 80 units and can be chosen in two colours, white or black. On the bonnet, the roof, the rear spoiler and the sides of the car, the “Martini Racing Design” decals stand out, in Martini’s characteristic red and blue colours. These decals will also be available as an option for some Porsche models.

Other exterior details include the front apron of the Aerokit Cup, optimised for the occasion on the lower lip of the spoiler, and the fixed rear spoiler that is also part of the Aerokit Cup, giving the 911 Carrera S a much sportier look.

Inside, the details also show that this is a limited edition. The “911 Carrera S – Martini Racing Edition” logo illuminated in red adorns the door sills, the sport steering wheel, the “Martini Racing Edition” insert “Martini Racing Edition” on the dashboard, and the Sport Chrono package are other standard equipment details of this car.

It also features elements such as the (PCM) Porsche Communication Management with navigation system, Bose sound system, a tachometer with black background and sport seats with electric adjustment in the same colour.

The engine fitted to the 80 units of this very special version will be a six-cylinder, 3.8-litre flat-six boxer engine producing 400 CV. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is 4.1 seconds, with the PDK gearbox and the Sport Plus button activated, and the average consumption is 8.7 l/100 km.

The Porsche Carrera S “Martini Racing Edition” will be available in Spain from June 2014 and will cost approximately 147,400 EUR depending on the options chosen.
