Porsche Macan T 2022: more agility and exclusivity for the four-cylinder Touring version
Weighing 58.8 kilograms less than the standard versions, with a ride height lowered by up to 25 millimetres and 265 CV under its bonnet, the new Macan T debuts in the compact SUV range

First introduced in 1968, the T designation has since been reserved for the 911 and, since 2018, also for the 718. Now, the Stuttgart-based manufacturer has just added this Touring version to the range of its compact SUV, aimed at those seeking a purer driving experience thanks to its specific tuning.
With this, the new Porsche Macan T sits midway between the Macan and the Macan S, making it an interesting choice for those looking for an SUV with outstanding dynamic behaviour, Porsche DNA and numerous exclusive equipment elements for this version.
An exclusive design
Starting with its design, Porsche has fitted several elements painted in Agate Grey on its large front grille, side mouldings and mirrors, as well as on its rear spoiler and the logos inserted in the tailgate.

Emphasising its sporty character, the new Macan T features four exhaust outlets, high-gloss black window surrounds and 20-inch Macan S wheels as standard equipment, painted in dark titanium in combination with the aforementioned Agate Grey elements.
The interior of the new Macan T
Moving to the interior, its main highlights are the heated sport seats with eight-way electric adjustment, upholstered in black leather, creating an atmosphere that exudes sportiness and elegance in equal measure.

On the seats, the steering wheel and the armrest, Agate Grey reappears in the stitching, a detail that, together with the Sport Chrono stopwatch at the top of the dashboard and the black aluminium inserts for the door sills, adds the touch of character that suits the Macan so well.
Furthermore, as might be expected, the new Macan T includes the new elements introduced in last summer’s update, among which we highlight the new centre console and the Porsche Communication Management infotainment system with standard online navigation, operated via a 10.9-inch touchscreen.

Betting on lightness
As for its mechanical specification, the new Porsche Macan T will feature a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, producing 265 CV and 400 Nm of torque, paired with a seven-speed PDK automatic gearbox and the Porsche Traction Management all-wheel drive system.
Thanks to its weight reduction of 58.8 kilograms, a suspension lowered by 15 mm (or by an additional 10 millimetres with air suspension), stiffer anti-roll bars and retuned chassis, the new Macan T can reach 0 to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds and attain a top speed of 232 km/h.
The new Porsche Macan T is now available on the brand’s online configurator, with the first units arriving at dealerships from next April at a starting price of 78,659 euros.
