Audi Virtual Mirror: this is how the virtual mirrors of the Audi e-tron work
Audi will become the first manufacturer to fit virtual mirrors to a production car.
The Audi e-tron will not only be the first electric vehicle from the Ingolstadt brand, it will also be the first production car to feature virtual mirrors inside the cabin. This system has been nicknamed Audi Virtual Mirror. It consists of two cameras that replace the traditional mirrors, which send the image to two touchscreens (shaped like mirrors) located inside the car next to the door handles.

Manufacturers have been trying to introduce this system in their cars for quite some time, but until now regulations have not allowed it. With these virtual mirrors, Audi will manage to improve the aerodynamic coefficient of its next electric crossover, and with it extend the range of the same.

Audi e-tron: the most technological and digitalised model of the brand
Beyond the Audi Virtual Mirror, the new e-tron stands out from the rest of the Audi range thanks to its dual touchscreen located on the dashboard that controls virtually all of the vehicle’s functions. In addition, the Audi Virtual Cockpit (digital instrumentation) has been installed in a place where analogue controls are usually found.

More than 400 km of range
We recall that the Audi e-tron will offer a 95 kWh battery that will allow it to travel more than 400 km on a single charge. In addition, the car will be able to recharge its battery at a power of up to 150 kW (high-speed charging).
Performance: 430 CV

The car will have one motor on the front axle and two motors on the rear axle which together will develop a power of 430 CV.
Delay in its presentation
The new e-tron was due to be presented at the Audi Summit that was to take place in Brussels on 30 August. However, we will have to wait a little longer to get to know the new electric SUV from Audi due to the recent arrest of the company’s chief executive, Rupert Stadler.
