Rezvani Tank X, the 260,000-dollar off-roader gets a new engine, and this is what it looks like

Rezvani has a well-earned reputation as a manufacturer of vehicles that break with convention and carry a very distinctive style. The power of the vehicles from this American limited-edition brand matches their looks, and when they tire of being imposing, they become even more striking. That is the case with the Rezvani Tank, an off-road model it presented in October 2017.

Initially, this spectacular off-roader was equipped with a 6.4-litre engine, a unit that delivered 500 CV. Not satisfied with this engine, after a month the model was fitted with a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 engine, producing 285 CV and a maximum torque of 352 Nm, and this variant became the entry-level version of the model.

Now it has introduced a new member of the family, the Rezvani Tank X, which has been fitted with the same engine used in the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. Rezvani has chosen to be cautious with this powertrain and has left its characteristics untouched. That means the Rezvani Tank X will deliver 707 CV and a maximum torque of 881 Nm. Excellent power for a car that aims to be ever more powerful and whose performance matches its looks.

Speaking of which, the Rezvani Tank X keeps the same design as the basic model. It does come as standard with the Off-Road Extreme package. This means it sits 15 centimetres higher, has a set of Dynatrac ProRock XD60/80 axles with air lockers and an air pump, Fox 2.5-inch shock absorbers, Dynatrac Pro Gripy brakes and impressive 37-inch off-road tyres.

This variant also has a thermal imaging system, very much in keeping with the model’s military personality, and a huge 16-inch brake caliper with eight pistons at the front. To add a touch of sweetness to the car, the seats can be customised and several colours are available. The price starts at 259,000 dollars in the United States.
