SEAT and Ducati join forces to take on the MotoGP World Championship
SEAT has once again renewed its contract with Ducati, giving itself more chances of taking the MotoGP victory. The León Cupra will be the official vehicle.

On certain occasions, some brands collaborate with others with the intention of creating something unique and extraordinary, but this time they have gone further. This is not the first time SEAT and Ducati have appeared in the same sentence, since the story between the two brands began when the designers swapped roles. That experience bore fruit, and now the Spanish company has decided to collaborate with Ducati, with the aim of seeing them take the win in the MotoGP championship.
SEAT has once again renewed its contract with Ducati this year to take part together in the World Championship. In this way, the motorcycle manufacturer will receive the full support of the Spanish brand, and the two will be present at one of the most important motorcycling championships in the world. For this reason, SEAT will attend with none other than the León Cupra, the company’s latest sports car.
This partnership allows SEAT to display its logo on the motorcycles of the Italian company, which will be shown off in all their splendour. At the same time, riders Jorge Lorenzo and Andrea Dovizioso are ambassadors of the Spanish brand, and both have two SEAT León Cupra at their disposal to use at any time and to travel to training sessions. But this is not the only thing the car manufacturer is involved in.

The León Cupra will be Ducati’s official vehicle, since it shares the same sportiness and passion as the Italian motorcycles. Let us recall that under the bonnet of the Spanish sports car we find a 2.0-litre TFSI engine capable of delivering 300 CV and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, making it the fastest production vehicle in SEAT’s history — with apologies to the Cupra R. Both the riders’ motorcycles and the Cupra fit perfectly with the team’s philosophy and goals: to win the championship.
Ducati’s MotoGP team sporting director, Paolo Ciabatti, notes that “we are delighted to have SEAT as the team’s official car for the second consecutive year in the MotoGP World Championship. Last year our riders, Andrea Dovizioso and Jorge Lorenzo, experienced great moments both on and off the track with their Desmosedici motorcycles and the SEAT León Cupra, and we are sure that this coming season both they and the Ducati team will be able to continue enjoying it”.

Without a doubt, this collaboration will bring great benefits to both brands, allowing Ducati to absorb SEAT’s experience in competition and vice versa. As with the exchange of designers, on this occasion they can learn a great deal from each other, and thus further complement the vehicles they develop.
