Skoda Elroq, this is what the new affordable electric model from the Czech brand could look like
The Skoda Elroq could reach the market by the end of 2024 and its starting price would be around 19,000 euros. Would you buy it?

The Volkswagen group is updating all its ranges and if a few hours ago we talked about the Seat Acandra, today it is the turn of the Skoda Elroq. This new model could become one of the most interesting electric cars from the Czech brand and even from the Volkswagen group. The Skoda Elroq will reach the market in 2024 and will be built on the modular MEB platform.
The Skoda Elroq will be the electric successor to the Skoda Fabia and, as we have mentioned, it will be underpinned by an updated modular MEB platform. For the time being, it is unknown whether the new electric-car platform of the group will already be available or whether it will be a modified MEB. This would mean the wheelbase would be shorter to adapt to the bodywork of city cars. In addition, the safety section and the infotainment section would be updated.

Everything we know about the Skoda Elroq
As for the powertrains, there will probably not be many changes. The battery capacities and technologies will be maintained. Everything points to the Skoda Elroq having a rear-mounted electric motor configuration, as has been used in the Volkswagen ID.3, the Skoda Enyaq iV and the Audi Q4 e-tron.
The manufacturing of this model, like that of the Seat Acandra, will take place at the Martorell factory. For its part, the future Volkswagen ID.1 will be fine-tuned at the Landaben plant. For the time being, it is unknown whether the batteries will also be manufactured in Spain, specifically at the plants that are planned to be built with the PERTE fund.

The Skoda Elroq could reach the market by the end of 2024. Its starting price is around 19,000 euros. Would you like to get behind the wheel of this affordable electric car? We are eager to learn more details, both about the Skoda Elroq and the Seat Acandra.
