Spotted without camouflage: the new 911 GT3
Porsche needed to renew its 911 GT3, I think it is something that everyone has been thinking about, even though, for example, in the GT1 they are off to a fairly promising start to the season, mainly thanks to the victory at Zolder. At the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, on the other hand, they finished in a distant sixth place, four laps behind the leader.
For those who think this way, the British website Autocar gave us a good afternoon yesterday by showing us the first spy photos of the new 911 GT3 generation with no camouflage whatsoever. A real gift, right?
Among other things, this is a new car that shows its teeth. It features large carbon-ceramic brakes, with calipers that could be six-piston units. At the rear, the spoiler is somewhat smaller than on previous models. What hasn’t changed are the two central exhaust outlets in the rear bumper (from the little that the car shows). At the front, this new 911 GT3 wears a new bumper with large air intakes to cool the engine.
It is expected to deliver an output of around 456 CV, although it remains unclear whether this power will be sent to the wheels through a seven-speed manual gearbox or a PDK dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Rumour has it that it will make its debut at the Paris Motor Show next September, but nothing has yet been confirmed by Porsche. Likewise, there is no information on when it will go on sale or how much it will cost.
