It has only just been unveiled and there are still months to go before it reaches the market, yet Honda has already revealed a wide catalogue of personalisation accessories for its new Civic Type R. A model that in previous generations has always stood out for a very muscular design, and that enthusiasts of the brand missed in this new generation. Now they will have no reason to complain…

Indeed, among the most notable elements we find an imposing rear spoiler made entirely of carbon fibre, using mounting points that are almost identical, but with a different design. Honda has not sought visual impact, something the eye-catching spoiler of the previous-generation Civic achieved on its own. The aim has been, above all, to improve aerodynamic downforce at high speed, as well as to reduce weight by almost 1 kilogram compared with the standard part.

Another element available to enhance the sporty look of the Civic Type R’s bodywork are the mirror housings and brake calipers finished in an eye-catching red, as well as the model’s identifying logos. Inside, the Japanese brand offers door sills with an illuminated Type R logo, carbon-fibre inserts and red fabric on the centre console and door panels, a gear lever knob trimmed in red leather, special floor mats with the model emblem, and a welcome lighting system that projects the Type R logo onto the ground when the doors are opened, plus LED lights for the boot.

Japanese customers will be able to choose these accessories for the Type R, for which prices have not yet been announced, in September. Let us recall that the new Civic Type R will not reach the European market until late 2022 or early 2023.
