TechArt has turned this 911 Targa into a police car

To mark the “Tune It! Safe!” initiative, the popular German tuner has brought us its latest creation, based on a Porsche 911 Targa 4

One of the most curious and original novelties we usually bring you every year is the most extreme and radical police cars of the moment, as part of the curious “Tune It! Safe” initiative .

The last one was a BMW 850i that AC Schnitzer had prepared to catch the bad guys, with no less than 620 CV of power and 840 Nm of peak torque. But this year it was TechArt’s turn, which decided to take a Porsche 911 Targa 4 and give it its characteristic touch, turning it into a German police car.

In detail

From the first second we looked at it, what caught our attention most about this machine is its Polizei livery, keeping the silver, blue and fluorescent yellow colours and, as could not be otherwise, its police LED light bar fitted to the roof.

In addition, we can highlight a body kit signed by TechArt, which gives it a more muscular and aggressive look, thanks to its front splitter, side skirts and subtle rear diffuser and spoiler.

Another of the jewels that give it a truly brutal appearance are the new TechArt Formula V multi-spoke wheels, painted in black with details in the same fluorescent yellow as the side stripes and the B-pillar, which are the icing on the cake of the whole ensemble.

The most luxurious police car

Once inside, this 911 Targa 4 features a multitude of aesthetic novelties. With a sport steering wheel trimmed in perforated leather, a centre armrest with the same pattern and a few yellow details, which make more than one of us think about becoming a police officer just to be able to drive such a machine.

Under the rear bonnet, TechArt has decided to keep intact its 3.0-litre, six-cylinder twin-turbo boxer engine that produces 385 CV of power and 450 Nm of peak torque, allowing it to go from 0 to 100 km/h in around 4.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 290 km/h.

Even so, the tuner preferred to modify the vehicle’s suspension system, fitting springs that lower its height by 40mm and achieve a more sporty behaviour.

This Polizei 911 can be seen live until 5 December at the Essen Motor Show in Germany, where it will surely win many hearts.
