The 720S McLaren is more sporty and effective than ever with the Track Pack, a package focused on the circuit
McLaren has just announced the arrival of the Track Pack for the 720S, a package that includes a series of carbon fibre parts that manage to save 24 kg.

Limits, a term that few supercar manufacturers are familiar with, since they are locked in an insatiable battle for improvement and refinement. McLaren demonstrates this again and again each time it unveils a new vehicle -or variant- to the world, something it achieved with the 720S. This British supercar has managed to captivate the select group of fortunate people who can access vehicles in its segment, something McLaren has achieved with a perfect balance between comfort and sportiness. However, the Woking firm has now decided to accentuate this latter trait, something it has achieved with what it calls the Track Pack.
Its very name stirs excitement and shivers in equal measure, which makes us realise that McLaren has managed to accentuate even further the facets of the 720S. To achieve this, the British engineers have carried out a series of modifications and changes that directly affect the weight and structure of the vehicle, creating a much sharper power-to-weight ratio, ready to be put to use on the track.
To do this, the designers have developed a series of carbon fibre parts, a lightweight material that has contributed significantly to the British supercar’s diet. With this premise, the designers at McLaren decided to reduce the weight of components such as the roof air intakes and bumpers, the door panels, the retractable spoiler and the engine bay, among others, which were some of the few elements that had not been finished in carbon fibre.

However, the British firm has wanted to go much further with the incorporation of forged wheels which are also included in the 720S Track Pack. The carbon buckets and the monocoque made of the same material also contribute strongly to this weight reduction, which yields a saving of up to 24 kilograms compared with a standard 720S.
The mechanical side has been respected throughout, so we still find the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine capable of producing 720 CV of power and 770 Nm of torque. However, what McLaren has done is add a strut brace to increase rigidity and a new sports exhaust, which improves the soundtrack of the English supercar and can even extract a little more power from the already well-known but effective engine that powers the members of the Woking firm.

McLaren has confirmed that the 720S with the Track Pack will have a base price of £224,700, which is equivalent to 255,618 euros at current exchange rates. For this outlay, customers of the English firm will be able to access a vehicle that is not only more exclusive, but also more effective and faster on the track, as it will feature sharper performance that will heighten the driving experience.
