500 Abarth Electric Cars Urban
The Abarth 500 electric has been rendered to predict the future of the brand
Today we bring you a render of what could be the future Abarth 500, a vehicle that will most likely use a 100% electric powertrain like the Fiat 500.

After the arrival of the new Fiat 500, a model that has become a 100% electric vehicle, a big question arose for all of us: what is happening with Abarth? The Scorpion brand has for a long time brought out the most radical side of the Italian city car thanks to a more exaggerated styling and a much more powerful powertrain. But now that the small 500 is going electric, it should not surprise us if Abarth decides to use this type of powertrain to offer a sporty vehicle, as it has accustomed us to.
The already well-known designer, X-Tomi Design, could not contain his eagerness to show us what he believes will be the future of the Italian brand. Although there is a possibility that a combustion engine could be placed in the future Abarth 500, through this render they want to show us that hypothetical electric sporty city car.
The styling remains very striking despite those clear features of a car that uses an electric powertrain, such as the completely closed front. However, this does not prevent certain sporty car attractions from being added, such as a more aggressive bumper framed by an air intake and a specific splitter. The side is accentuated by specific wheels and by the characteristic Abarth logo, a distinctive touch that will remind us that this is not an ordinary city car.

As regards the mechanical section, the new Fiat 500 uses an electric motor capable of producing 87 kW, the equivalent of about 115 CV. To this not inconsiderable figure we must add a range of 320 kilometres thanks to a 42 kWh lithium-ion battery, of which 80% can be recharged in just 35 minutes if you use the 85 kW charger.
Without a doubt, these are really interesting figures considering that we are talking about a city car, but Abarth would go further. We are sure that it would not be a stretch for the Scorpion brand to raise that power to a spicier 180 CV which, together with instant torque, will translate into much more impressive sensations.

Be that as it may, it is only a matter of time before Abarth gives us a preview of its proposal so that we can investigate its characteristics more precisely. In this way, we could be looking at the first electric sporty car from FCA, a company that very soon will continue to invest in this type of powertrain together with the PSA Group.
