The ADAM will also feature the FlexFix system
It will be identical to that of the other models that offer it. By default it carries a bicycle of up to 30 kg, and as an option it can carry another one of 20 kg.

The new city car from the German brand will aim to make the most of every personalisation option at hand, to keep up with the most stylish in the B-segment. And this range of extras would not be complete without a home-grown accessory that is very popular in Europe: the FlexFix bike rack. Opel has just confirmed it will be available as equipment on the ADAM from its launch in 2013, although it has not yet disclosed the price.
The system will work in exactly the same way as on the brand’s other models that offer it. Simply pull out the hidden support on the rear bumper, which also frees up the space for the number plate so that it remains visible. There is no need to operate any complicated fastening mechanism to keep the bicycle secure.
In the case of the ADAM, the standard FlexFix system can carry a bicycle of up to 30 kg. Optionally, a further auxiliary support integrated in the same space can be ordered, suitable for another bike weighing a maximum of 20 kg. Likewise, the bike rack can be tilted slightly to make it easier to load objects into the boot.
Nor is it necessary to give up the parking assistance system in the optional equipment, since it does not get in the way of the rear radar sensors. For the ADAM, having FlexFix will be a significant advantage, since its rivals such as the Audi A1 or the Fiat 500 do not have systems that are as easy to use. And the customer it is aimed at usually keeps the bicycle handy as an alternative for urban journeys.
