The Alfa Romeo Stelvio kicks off 2022 by increasing its standard equipment

Alfa Romeo continues with the update of its models, and now it’s the turn of the Stelvio, which receives more standard equipment and extends its warranty

Alfa Romeo Stelvio (2)

With the expansion of its range following the official presentation of the Tonale, Alfa Romeo is now focused on improving its current models through upgrades designed to attract new customers, without forgetting that the brand is still working on the design of the Brennero, its first fully electric SUV, which will arrive in the coming years.

A few days ago the Italian brand announced that the Giulia’s range would be restructured and introduced new elements, focused especially on technology and safety. Now, along the same lines, it is the turn of the Stelvio, which welcomes as standard equipment the wireless charger, the Alfa Connect 3D NAV infotainment system with 8.8-inch touchscreen and real-time traffic data. In the standard safety section, the rear-view camera, parking sensors and active cruise control are also included.

Super trim

Alfa Romeo Stelvio (6)

If we decide to get a Alfa Romeo Stelvio, we should know that the entry-level trim of the range is called Super, but that does not mean it is “stripped down”; you will also find well-equipped features, as we will see below, including elements such as:

  • Front and rear parking sensors
  • Active cruise control
  • Hands-free access
  • Aluminium pedals
  • Connectivity via Android Auto or Apple CarPlay
  • Electrochromic rear-view mirror
  • Bixenon headlights
  • 18-inch alloy wheels
  • Cloth upholstery

In terms of mechanics, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio in Super trim can be paired with the 2,200 cc JTDM diesel engine producing 160 CV, sent to the rear wheels, although if we prefer permanent all-wheel drive, the brand’s Q4 with a diesel engine means opting for 190 CV. If we prefer petrol, the Stelvio Super is paired with the 2,000 cc turbo engine producing 200 CV, also with permanent Q4 all-wheel drive. Regardless of the configuration chosen, all of them are paired with the 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Sprint trim

Alfa Romeo Stelvio (5)

Just above it is the Sprint trim, aimed at customers who want to give their Stelvio a greater dose of sportiness thanks to elements such as:

  • Steering wheel paddle shifters
  • Aluminium interior inserts
  • Black front grille
  • Tinted rear windows
  • Heated windscreen wipers
  • 19-inch Petals alloy wheels
  • Mixed leather and cloth upholstery

The peculiarity of the Sprint trim is that it is not available with petrol engines, and customers can only choose the 2,200 cc JTDM diesel engine, in output levels of 160 CV with rear-wheel drive or 190 CV with permanent all-wheel drive Q4. Either way, the gearbox remains the same eight-speed automatic.

Ti trim

Alfa Romeo Stelvio (3)

Now we get serious, because the Ti trim is the one the brand reserves for its most exclusive models, so you can imagine this trim focuses more on refinement and comfort, while still keeping sportiness in mind. In this way, the Ti trim includes elements such as:

  • Grey-tinted oak wood interior inserts
  • Six-way electrically adjustable seats
  • Synthetic leather upholstery
  • Heated steering wheel
  • Hands-free tailgate
  • 19-inch Petals alloy wheels
  • Ti exterior kit in Vesuvio Grey

Mechanically, the Stelvio Ti can be chosen with the 2,200 cc JTDM diesel engine with output rising to 210 CV, while if we choose the petrol engine we get the most powerful 2.0 Turbo with 280 CV. In both cases the power is sent to all four wheels through permanent Q4 all-wheel drive and the 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Veloce trim

Alfa Romeo Stelvio (1)

If the Ti trim seeks greater refinement and comfort, the Veloce trim is its counterpoint, focused on those looking for more sportiness in their Stelvio. In this regard, standard equipment includes elements such as:

  • Limited-slip differential
  • Exclusive front and rear bumpers
  • Wing mirrors with black-finished housings
  • 20-inch Petals alloy wheels
  • Heated electric seats with six-way electric adjustment and lumbar support
  • Synthetic leather upholstery in black finish

Mechanically, we find the same options as for the Ti trim, namely the 2.2 JTDM diesel with 210 CV and the 2.0 Turbo petrol with 280 CV, both with permanent all-wheel drive Q4 and eight-speed automatic transmission.

Stelvio Quadrifoglio

Alfa Romeo Stelvio (4)

If you want strong sensations and maximum sportiness, forget the previous trims and opt for the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio, which features the brand’s most exclusive equipment, reserved for its high-performance vehicles:

  • Intelligent chassis control
  • Brembo brakes
  • Sparco sport seats
  • Synthetic leather and Alcantara upholstery
  • Harman Kardon High Fidelity audio system
  • Alfa SDC Suspension
  • 20-inch alloy wheels in black finish

The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is equipped with the 2,900 cc twin-turbo V6 petrol engine producing 510 CV, sent to all four wheels through the 8-speed automatic transmission.

Finally, Alfa Romeo also extends the Stelvio’s warranty to 5 years, including free basic services such as repair and replacement of defective parts, labour, supply of consumables and up to 8 years of protection against paint defects.
