The Audi SQ7 breaks the 500 CV barrier with ABT's small push
The refreshed Audi SQ7 has already been in the hands of ABT, which has managed to squeeze it up to 510 CV and 970 Nm of torque.

We live in an era in which sporty SUVs have become a very attractive all-in-one thanks to their versatility and sportiness. Audi shows its confidence in this sector through models such as the RS Q3, the recently unveiled RS Q8, or the more balanced SQ7. However, ABT has already tinkered with this segment thanks to its close relationship with the four-ring brand, which has allowed it to squeeze out every last drop of sportiness hidden in the Audi SQ7, the most powerful variant of the German house’s first SUV.
As is customary, ABT has wanted to take the opportunity not only to make a few adjustments to the SQ7’s mechanics, but also to enhance its styling. The German tuner has managed to sharpen the SUV from Audi in every respect with the aim of offering a package that is just as practical but faster and sportier.
For now, in terms of styling, we find 22-inch wheels with a specific design that further highlight the imposing presence of the SQ7. However, ABT has confirmed that its customers will soon be able to opt for a new aerodynamic kit, which is currently under development and will replace the diffuser, splitter, side skirts, bonnet and add various carbon-fibre parts.

But ABT has taken on the task of creating what could be an RS Q7 diesel, an option that was never considered but could make even more sense for customers who want to enjoy sportiness without giving up practicality. With this premise, the tuner has taken the recipe used by Audi and seasoned it until it created a vehicle ready to go head-to-head with the biggest names.
Let’s remember that, as standard, the Audi SQ7 uses a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine which, together with mild-hybrid technology, produces 435 CV and 900 Nm of torque. However, thanks to ABT’s power kit, the German SUV is able to deliver 510 CV and 970 Nm of torque, figures that perfectly fill the space left by that long-awaited RS Q7.

The SUV segment is here to stay, and those characteristics that were once only within reach of the most exuberant sports cars are now available in this controversial sector. The Audi SQ7 is one of the most balanced sporty SUVs thanks to its diesel nature, but ABT has managed to get the most out of it with great skill.
