The BMW i4 and i4 M50 go on sale in Spain, where we already know their prices
BMW has expanded its family of fully electric vehicles with the i4 and its sporty version, the i4 M50, both models that are already on sale in Spain

Even though BMW’s top management is still not entirely sure that electric mobility is really the future, it is only logical that they do not want to fall behind. Competition is tightening, and it has become necessary to increase the offer of fully electric vehicles. That is why BMW’s electric range was expanded with the announcement of the arrival of the BMW i4 and the BMW i4 M50, the latter being the first fully electric model from BMW M.
BMW i4
The new BMW i4 falls within the 4 Series category of the German brand, but naturally it has distinguishing elements that allow us to tell at a glance that we are looking at the fully electric version. An example of this can be found, for instance, at the front, where its characteristic large kidney grille receives the blue tone on its frame that BMW applies to its electric models, also present on the headlights, the centre of the wheels, the side mouldings and the rear diffuser.

As standard, the BMW i4 comes with black paint for the exterior at no extra cost, and you can choose from nine other colours that carry different prices depending on the shade chosen. It also features 17-inch wheels, which can optionally be replaced with five other designs going up to 20 inches in size.

Opening its doors, the standard equipment includes cloth upholstery combined with leather inserts, and you can optionally switch it to leather upholstery in various design patterns and colours, as well as the more exclusive options from BMW Individual, combined with gloss black painted trim. Among its standard equipment you will find, among others, the following items:
- BMW Live Cockpit Plus
- Widescreen display
- Air conditioning
- Leather-wrapped steering wheel
- Cruise control with braking function
- Active Guard Plus
- Parking Assistant
- TeleServices
- Emergency call
- Storage compartment package
- Instrument panel upholstered in Sensatec
- Interior rear-view mirror with automatic anti-dazzle adjustment

Mechanically, the BMW i4 will be available in Spain in its eDrive40 version, with an electric motor delivering 250 kW (340 CV), which allows it to accelerate to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 190 km/h. It records a combined consumption of 17.4 kWh/100 km and a range of up to 548 km, also on the combined cycle.
The new BMW i4 is already available in Spain with a starting price of 61,900 euros.
BMW i4 M50

The BMW i4 arrives in Spain accompanied by its sporty version, the i4 M50, a model tuned by M Performance that thus becomes the first fully electric vehicle in the sporty division of the Bavarian brand. Its calling card is quite recognisable, as one would expect, with a distinctive and markedly sporty style that tells us which model we are looking at.

To set it apart from its smaller sibling it will feature details such as a specific front bumper, with new air intakes and specific mouldings in the Cerium Grey finish. That will not be the only one, as this colour is also present on the mirror housings, while at the rear we find a discreet but attractive spoiler on the boot lid and a prominent diffuser that shows off its character. If we want to give it an even sportier look, BMW allows us to fit the M carbon exterior package.
It has the same standard equipment as the BMW i4, except that it is expanded on the i4 M50 with elements such as those listed below:
- BMW IconicSounds Electric
- HiFi sound system
- Anthracite interior roof lining
- M exterior mouldings in Shadow Line gloss finish
- XtraBoost
- M Sport brakes
- M adaptive suspension
- Variable sport steering
- M aerodynamic package

Mechanically, the BMW i4 M50 consists of an electric motor on the rear axle producing 313 CV and another on the front axle producing 258 CV, which, added to the 68 CV gained with the XtraBoost function, results in a combined output of 544 CV together with a torque of 795 Nm. Thanks to these figures it accelerates to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, reaching a top speed of 225 km/h; it also records a combined consumption of 18.4 kWh and a range of 512 km, figures that refer to the combined cycle.
The new BMW i4 M50 is also available on the Spanish market with a starting price of 76,500 euros.
