The BMW M2 CS spotted at full throttle at the Nürburgring, prepared for its public debut

BMW has put the most radical version of the 2 Series, the CS, to the test. The car we saw used the typical camouflage while running around the Nürburgring circuit.

BMW is set to launch an even more radical version of its smallest sports car, the M2 CS. The new model from the German brand, which promises to be better than the standard M2, was spotted running at the Nürburgring in camouflaged form, and it did not look like it was out for a casual drive.

The BMW M2 CS will replace the N55 engine of the current base M2 (a 3-litre, six-cylinder inline unit producing 370 CV) with the N55 engine found in the BMW M3 and M4; a powertrain that produces 431 CV in those models. Even so, the M2 CS is estimated to offer around 400 CV, with a 6-speed manual gearbox, which would narrow the gap with its bigger brother without closing it completely.

In addition, the new sports car from BMW will benefit from a series of chassis modifications compared with the standard M2. Among them, the adjustments to the suspension, a reinforced exhaust outlet and more powerful brakes stand out.

Either way, the future Cayman GT4 Porscheh24§ now has another tough rival aiming to sell as many units as possible (we mean non-limited editions) and which could be more attractive on price, at around 75,000 euros.
