The DS 7 Crossback features the PureTech 130 petrol engine to be even more efficient

DS continues to expand its range, now adding the new PureTech 130 petrol engine to the DS 7 Crossback, as well as new Class A tyres for the entire range

The DS 7 Crossback got off to a very good start in its commercialisation in Spain, registering a large number of orders since production began, so the French company has been gradually expanding the DS 7 range, for example with the arrival a few months ago of its E-Tense plug-in hybrid version. The DS 7 Crossback will continue along this path towards greater efficiency, now incorporating a new petrol engine that improves its performance.

In this way, the DS 7 Crossback adds the new PureTech 130 petrol engine to its range, which will improve both its emissions and consumption figures. To achieve this, the PureTech 130 engine features a new high-performance turbocharger capable of spinning at 240,000 rpm, as well as a centrally positioned direct injection system capable of reaching a pressure of 200 bar. In this way, we will benefit not only from a more efficient engine but also from smooth and flexible driving.

With this PureTech petrol engine, the DS 7 Crossback delivers a power output of 130 CV together with a maximum torque of 230 Nm at 1,750 rpm, which sends its power to the front axle through an eight-speed automatic gearbox. With these figures, the DS 7 Crossback records fuel consumption of 5 l/100 km, while CO2 emissions are 114 g/km, both obtained according to the NEDC test cycle.

The new PureTech 130 petrol engine will be available for all trim levels of the DS 7 Crossback: Be Chic, So Chic and Performance Line. But this will not be the only novelty affecting the DS 7, since the entire range will now incorporate 19-inch wheels fitted with Class A tyres, which will allow, for example, the DS 7 Crossback E-Tense 4×4 to reduce its consumption by 0.2 l/100 km, while the PureTech 180 engine will lower its emissions to 119 g/km and, in the rest of the BlueHDI engines, the same will happen down to 115 g/km. It should be said that these last two will not pay registration tax once these figures are reduced.

The PureTech 130 engine for the DS 7 Crossback has already started its commercialisation in our country, with a starting price of from 34,600 euros.
