Cybertruck Tesla Electric Cars Pick-up
The EPA range of the Tesla Cybertruck could be around 560 km
Nevertheless, we should not rule out that in the future the American manufacturer will sell other versions of the Cybertruck with even greater range than the one that will reach North American roads in just over a month
With no specific date yet for the official unveiling of the production version of the new electric pickup from the American manufacturer, there is still a lot of information about this new model that we don’t know. One of them is how many kilometres this beast will be able to cover on a single charge.
When Elon Musk presented the first prototype of the Cybertruck, back in November 2019, he announced that the range of one of the available versions could reach 500 miles – about 805 km. However, shortly afterwards the company removed from its website any data referring to its range, thereby increasing the doubts of the less trusting.

Now, a new report suggests that the range we can expect from the Tesla electric pickup could exceed at least 500 km on a single charge. The information apparently comes from an engineer at the American company itself, who was testing a unit practically identical to the production ones and suffered a mechanical mishap.
What better than being able to talk with an engineer from Tesla itself
The story appears published on one of the most popular forums for future Cybertruck owners – Cybertruck Owners Club forum – and in it the author explains that he recently noticed a Cybertruck unit parked at the Tesla Supercharger station in Mojave (California). When he approached to take a look, he was able to start a conversation with the Tesla engineer, who explained that he was unable to charge it and was therefore waiting for a company tow truck to come and haul the vehicle away.
During the conversation, the Tesla engineer went on to explain that he did not know the real-world range of the Cybertruck, since on these test versions only the remaining battery percentage is displayed. In any case, based on his experience, this engineer confirmed to him that it will be just as good or even better than that of the Model X. If this is so, and considering that the entry-level Tesla Model X offers an EPA range of 348 miles – 560 km -, compared with the 333 miles – 536 km – of the Plaid version of the American manufacturer’s Premium electric SUV, it seems clear that in the worst case the range of the Cybertruck should be above 500 km.

If this figure is finally confirmed, the Cybertruck would be on a par with, or even slightly ahead of, some of its main rivals in the North American market in terms of range, such as the Ford F-150 Lighting.
In any case, with just over a month to go before Tesla begins delivering the production version of its electric pickup, we should not have to wait long to learn official range figures for this model. It will just be a matter of having a little patience.
