There is still a little while before the new Ford GT begins its journey on the circuit of the various competitions, and the team of technicians and engineers of the American brand is working hard on its development and does not stop carrying out different tests to keep correcting the small details so that everything is perfect when the races begin.

This video you are about to watch shows us how they are working, putting in order all the things that keep arising. Track tests, designs and redesigns, seeking to polish the things that don’t add up and leaving the car ready to give its all on track, without problems, and achieve the best results against its rivals. In addition, we will have the opportunity to see the twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost engine on the test bench, where its operation is checked before it is fitted to the car.

The new Ford GT is going to look very different from the original Ford GT 40, which served as the basis for shaping the previous generation of the model. This new generation aims to break with that aesthetic and have a more aerodynamic look that proves more efficient on track, offering greater performance from its engine and making the most of the characteristics of its bodywork.

According to the brand, making the car look good has never been its priority, although, of course, you can’t have your cake and eat it, as the saying goes. In the video we have seen it in motion, though not for the first time, and what is indeed new is that opportunity to hear how they push the engine to its limits.

The Ford GT will debut at Daytona and then head to Le Mans shortly after. Four cars will take part in these competitions, and it will be interesting to see how it performs on track once it has the rest of the competitors alongside it.
