Announced a few months ago, the Ford Vignale Mondeo has now arrived. It is the model that opens the market for this range of vehicles, which seeks to improve the buying experience of a car from the brand. This model is hand-finished by a team of professionals working at the Vignale Centre in Valencia. It also undergoes 100 additional quality inspection processes.
The equipment of the Vignale Mondeo improves on that of the traditional Mondeo and includes several safety features such as the Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, which helps detect pedestrians and avoids collisions with them.
The SYNC 2 infotainment system allows occupants to connect their phones to the system and control the various devices by voice, and it even responds to the driver’s wishes: simply saying “I’m hungry” makes the system search for and display restaurants. It also features Active Park Assist with Perpendicular Parking, which helps find a suitable parking space and park without difficulty.
With the Vignale brand, Ford aims to bring a unique purchase and service experience to buyers It is also equipped with Traffic Sign Recognition, Active City Stop and dynamic LED headlights. In addition, drivers enjoy greater comfort and safety thanks to the automatically adjustable steering column, a power tailgate and a heated steering wheel.
In terms of passive safety, it is important to note the rear seat belts, which inflate automatically in the event of a collision to provide a restraint surface up to five times larger than conventional belts, improving seat restraint and spreading the load over a greater area.
As for engines, Ford has reserved for the Vignale Mondeo a 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine, available with 203 and 240 CV, while the 2.0-litre TDCi diesel engine will offer 180 CV and another version of 210 CV. The petrol engine is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, and the diesel can be fitted with either this or a Powershift automatic gearbox.
The range is complemented by a hybrid engine consisting of a petrol engine and an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 187 CV.
The Vignale experience will be offered through an exclusive space located in Ford stores across Europe, where buyers of a model from this range will receive exclusive attention designed to give value to the new brand of Ford.
