Clarity Fuel Cell Honda Sedans Electric Cars Hybrid Cars New York Auto Show
The Honda Clarity fuel cell will also be offered as a battery electric and plug-in hybrid.
Honda Clarity will present two electric options in New York: a battery electric version and a plug-in hybrid version capable of running in electric mode for 64 km.

Plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and battery electric versions are starting to take up a considerable share of the market. The latest manufacturer to join this trend has been Honda, which has unveiled an intriguing teaser image of one of its most modern models.
The Japanese brand will present two new electrified versions of the Clarity at the upcoming New York Auto Show, to be held next April. The Japanese company will offer one battery electric option and another plug-in hybrid version of its saloon.
The Honda Clarity will be the first model to offer two electrified options plus a hydrogen fuel cell variant. This will set it apart from its main rival, the Hyundai Ioniq, which, despite offering three types of powertrain (electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid), does not have a hydrogen option.
The Japanese carmaker has assured that all versions of the Clarity will deliver “a smooth and silent experience”. The innovative saloon will feature good dynamic capabilities and the direct acceleration that characterises electric models. The PHEV version of the Clarity will be able to run in 100% electric mode for 64 km, a considerable figure with which the brand hopes to make the model the leader in its category. For its part, the battery electric Honda Clarity will become the first zero-emission vehicle, mid-size five-seater family car in the world.
The Japanese manufacturer has also announced that two thirds of its global sales will come from electrified vehicles by 2030.
