The Hyundai Ioniq 5 will appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home

Great films often accompany their releases with great cars, and Spider-Man: No Way Home is no exception. The brand that will accompany this third film of the Marvel hero, produced in collaboration with Sony, has been Hyundai, and several of its vehicles will appear in the film. The first of them is the Hyundai Ioniq 5, which, in addition to being featured in the plot, stars in a television spot alongside the film’s characters.

The ad shows us Peter Parker hiding in a roadside motel. But he decides to return to New York to clear his name. From there, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 takes centre stage, driven by his friend Ned Leeds, played by Jacob Batalon. Tom Holland and his friend will travel the 300 miles that separate them from New York, which is roughly 482 kilometres on a single charge.

This spot was shot with both actors and also with the director of the three Tom Holland-starring films of the hero, Jon Watts. So it has all the essence of the wall-crawler’s films and keeps the image and direction of the filmmaker.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 will also appear on a poster available at the film’s premiere. It will also feature on several desktop wallpapers, smartphone and tablet backgrounds.

But it is not the only model from the Korean brand that will make an appearance in this film, which opens on 17 December. The Hyundai Tucson will also feature in the action and in the film’s promotional campaign. In this case it will also star in a television spot with the hero, and it seems it will use footage from the film.

The car brand and the production company will collaborate on this launch, and both brands will be united in the promotion.
