The Jaguar XE will be unveiled on 8 September
Jaguar has its new compact saloon, named XE, ready. Its launch is scheduled for 8 September, and it can be seen in person a month later at the Paris Motor Show. It will arrive loaded with new features.

Jaguar has announced that the launch of its compact saloon, commercially named XE, now has a date on the calendar, with 8 September as the chosen day.
Although we do not yet know the lines that will shape the design of this small Jaguar, the brand is already offering very interesting technical information.
According to the British firm, the XE will be one of the toughest and most consistent rivals in the compact saloon segment, going up against models of the calibre of the BMW 3 Series or the Lexus IS. To do so, the Jaguar will feature a full technical and technological arsenal on a par with the best.
The steering will be electric, making it the first Jaguar to fit this type of steering. However, the brand has worked to eliminate the drawbacks of this kind of assistance, such as excessive insulation or the “artificial” feel of the steering wheel.
As for the suspension, the front axle uses a superimposed double wishbone system built in aluminium with a design derived from that of the F-Type. At the rear, the XE has a multi-link system.
Jaguar has developed a new traction control system called ASPC (All Surface Progress Control), capable of managing the vehicle on any type of surface, maximising safety and driving pleasure.
The XE is built on the iQ[Al] aluminium platform, which ensures a sufficiently low weight.
The XE’s engine range will be very varied, with numerous diesel and petrol alternatives built under the Ingenium family, which we told you about a few days ago.
One month after its launch, the XE can be seen at the Paris Show, where it will make its first public appearance.
