The Jaguar XJ gets a facelift and the Autobiography version

The largest saloon from the British brand Jaguar is renewed with a slight facelift that brings several new features.
We are talking about the XJ, which competes with models such as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the Audi A8, the recently updated BMW 7 Series or the Lexus LS.
Aesthetically the Jaguar XJ features a redesigned front end with more stylised headlights that now, for the first time, can be equipped with Full LED technology, joining the growing number of vehicles that are leaving other technologies such as xenon behind. The grille is also larger, and the small vents at the lower part now have a chrome surround.
At the rear there is also a new design for the LED tail lights, while the lower part of the bumper has been modified.

One of the major new features of the XJ MY2016 is the addition of the Autobiography version, which sits at the top of the range – similar to what happens with Land Rover, a brand from the same automotive group – offering an even more refined finish and seemingly endless equipment.
Externally it is distinguished from its siblings in the range thanks to 20″ wheels of specific design, and is available exclusively with the long-wheelbase body. Inside, the illuminated door sills stand out, along with semi-aniline leather upholstery with contrast stitching for both the dashboard and the seats, and an entertainment system for the rear seats consisting of two 10.2-inch TFT screens.

A new sporty trim called R-Sport is also introduced, with distinctive touches such as carbon-fibre trim, sport seats, piano black accents for the exterior and 20″ anthracite wheels.
Mechanically the XJ adds a redesigned power steering system that offers better feel and lower consumption, as well as an extended variant of the traction control called ASPC, which ensures the vehicle keeps moving in low-grip conditions.
