The KIA EV4 is not coming to the United States, but it is coming to Canada
With the EV4, the South Korean manufacturer reinforces its commitment to democratizing electric mobility in this North American country, bringing it within reach of a greater number of drivers.
With the start of this new year, KIA has given the green light to the sale of the EV4 in Canada, positioning it as one of the most affordable options in its segment in this North American country. With a starting price of CAD 38,995, this model arrives to offer a different alternative in a market dominated by SUVs.
The EV4 has been available for reservation in Canada for a few days now, although deliveries will not begin until the first half of 2026, with no specific date having been announced.

Besides its competitive price, the EV4 stands out especially for its range. The Wind Long Range FWD version offers up to 552 kilometres on a single charge, thanks to its 81.4 kWh battery pack. Meanwhile, the entry-level version of the range, the Light Standard Range FWD, with a 58.3 kWh battery pack, offers up to 391 km. The intermediate options, such as the Wind Premium and the GT-Line, slightly reduce the range to 515 km and 488 km respectively, in exchange for more equipment and better performance.
Which one would you choose?
The range consists of four main trims: the Light Standard Range FWD, available from CAD 38,995; the Wind Long Range FWD, priced at CAD 42,995; the Wind Premium Long Range FWD, at CAD 45,495; and the GT-Line and GT-Line Limited versions with optional AWD, priced at up to CAD 51,995.
All models destined for the North American market feature the NACS connector for fast charging and are built on a 400V architecture that allows the battery to go from 10 to 80 percent state of charge in approximately 30 minutes. In addition, all versions include V2L functionality, which allows the vehicle’s battery pack to power external electronic devices.

Manufactured at the EVO plant at Autoland Gwangmyeong in South Korea, the EV4 represents an important step in KIA’s electrification strategy in Canada. As we have already mentioned on previous occasions here at HighMotor, there is currently no confirmed date for the launch of this model from the South Korean manufacturer in the United States, where its launch has been postponed indefinitely since the end of last year.

“With the EV4, KIA offers Canadian consumers the first affordable fully electric saloon that combines a highly competitive price with the most advanced technology, cutting-edge design and a unique driving experience that is only possible to enjoy in a vehicle like this one.”
