The Lamborghini Urus delivers 710 CV thanks to the intervention of ABT
Lamborghini and ABT have joined forces, and the Urus is a clear example of this. The Italian SUV has succumbed to their charms to now develop 710 CV.

The sporty SUV is no longer an unfamiliar concept, since many fall under this definition with the Lamborghini Urus being one of its greatest exponents. The bull brand had already flirted with the world of 4x4s in the past, which led to the birth of the LM002. However, the Urus not only took over its legacy, but also adapted it to current times and today’s market tastes. Yet sportiness is also latent in the Italian SUV, which is why ABT has decided to play with it and discover how far it can go.
Since Lamborghini became part of the Volkswagen Group, there are countless components it shares with its siblings, and in this case the Audi Q8 is a model very close to the Italian. But given the absence of an RSQ8, the Lamborghini Urus stands at the top of the sporty SUVs in the German group, so the tuner could not resist its charms.
Already, we find a vehicle capable of proudly representing the brand that houses it. This is possible thanks to the mechanical layout hidden beneath the Urus’s bulky yet streamlined appearance. As is customary within the Lamborghini family, an engine of impressive performance has been used, but ABT wanted to squeeze every drop of performance out of it.

As standard, the Lamborghini Urus is powered by a twin-turbo V8 that is far removed from the naturally aspirated V10 and V12 engines that power its siblings. However, this powerplant is capable of delivering 650 CV and 850 Nm of torque, figures that can catapult the Italian SUV to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds.
Thanks to the new power-upgrade kit devised by ABT for the Urus, it now manages to reach 710 CV and 910 Nm of torque. With this, the time the Lamborghini SUV needs to reach 100 km/h is reduced by two tenths, making it possible to keep pace with vehicles of the calibre of a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S (992).

For now there are no improvements either aesthetically or in the exhaust, but ABT will most likely end up developing some kit capable of enhancing the already eye-catching styling of the Lamborghini Urus, a model that can overshadow high-flying sports cars that, until recently, had no reason to fear SUVs.
