The year 2025 will mark Lancia’s triumphant return to competition. With the Ypsilon Rally4 HF ready to take on the tracks, and the Ypsilon HF as the symbol of its new electric era
Lancia, one of the most iconic names in motorsport that has been absent for several years, has taken a firm step towards its return to competition with the Ypsilon Rally4 HF, a car designed specifically to dominate the world of rallying. On a special day at the Balocco Test Track, the CEO of Stellantis, Carlos Tavares, got behind the wheel of the new model to test the capabilities of the new Ypsilon Rally4 HF.
With its 1.2-litre turbocharged engine producing 212 CV, the Ypsilon Rally4 HF is positioned as an ideal choice for young drivers looking to make their way into the world of rallying. Equipped with front-wheel drive and a 5-speed manual gearbox, the car offers a perfect balance between agility and performance, thanks also to its limited-slip differential.
The CEO of Lancia, Luca Napolitano, highlighted the importance of this moment: “Seeing Carlos Tavares drive the Ypsilon Rally4 HF was a milestone for us. This car reflects our passion for competition and marks the start of an exciting journey for Lancia in the Rally4 category”.

Lancia Ypsilon HF: the road-going sports car
But Lancia is not focusing solely on competition. Alongside the Ypsilon Rally4 HF, the brand has also unveiled the Ypsilon HF, a 100% electric road version that embodies the sporting spirit and innovation of the brand. This model, which will also be available in 2025, features an 280 CV electric motor and is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds. In addition to its impressive performance, the Ypsilon HF boasts a radical design inspired by the brand’s competition vehicles, with a lowered chassis and widened track that give it an imposing presence.

With this model, Lancia demonstrates its ability to combine performance and sustainability, offering an exciting car for speed enthusiasts without compromising its commitment to an electric future.
