The last Bugatti Veyron Super Sport will be auctioned and could fetch an astronomical sum

The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport was the most radical version of the French hypercar, and the last unit produced will be auctioned at the Festival of Speed.

Throughout the world there are a number of vehicles that have shaped the history of the automobile, something that both classic models and contemporary models that have already carved out a place among the greatest have achieved. The Bugatti Veyron can boast of being in that position, since it is one of the most acclaimed hypercars of the 21st century. Today, Veyron fans are in luck, since the last unit built of the Super Sport variant -the most radical of the saga- will find a new home after the auction that will take place at the Festival of Speed in Goodwood.

The Bugatti Veyron was a revolution in every sense for the automotive world, where it showed everyone what the French marque was capable of. Over time, Bugatti improved and enhanced the features of its hypercar, something achieved across the different versions of the Veyron that reached the market, including the Super Sport.

The last production Veyron to carry this name is set to be auctioned and will likely reach a considerably high figure. This is due to the exclusivity of the model itself and the fact that it is the last Bugatti Veyron Super Sport to leave the production line. At the same time, the figures and performance also contribute, since this variant is presented as the most radical.

Let us recall that inside the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport sits the all-powerful W16, an 8.0-litre engine capable of producing 1,200 CV of power and 1,500 Nm of torque. With these figures, the most radical variant of the French supercar held the title of fastest production vehicle in the world, and it achieved it, since its top speed is 424 km/h and it is capable of reaching 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds.

With this in mind, it is only natural to expect the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport to fetch a fairly high value, since it is exclusive on every front. At the same time, this particular unit was the one that closed an era, which was definitively brought to an end by the Veyron La Finale, based on the Grand Sport version and which announced the end of production of this majestic vehicle.

The auction will begin on the 13th of July, when the bidding starts and the gavel decides who will be the new owner of this spectacular Bugatti Veyron which, with just 800 kilometres covered, can be considered a pristine, brand-new car. Without a doubt, it will become one of the largest auctions in the motoring world, where hundreds of millions of euros will go towards acquiring this prized piece of automotive history.
