The limited First Edition of the BMW M8 Gran Coupé arrives in Spain and its price is announced

The new BMW M8 Gran Coupé has been a long time coming, but we are already seeing its first public appearances, such as recently at the last round of the MotoGP World Championship where it performed the always essential duties of Safety Car. But now it’s the turn of ordinary people, who will be the ones to enjoy it most and, as we had already been told, its arrival on the roads will be celebrated with a limited edition.

It is now common for most brands to offer us a limited or special edition of a new launch, something BMW does quite frequently, and the arrival of the new M8 Gran Coupé was not going to be an exception. The new BMW M8 Gran Coupé First Edition will reach the market as a limited edition of 400 units, of which just 6 units will be allocated to the Spanish market.

The BMW M8 Gran Coupé First Edition will be easily recognisable thanks to its unique and exclusive styling details, which start on the exterior with the Aurora Diamond Green Metallic paint for its bodywork, taken from the BMW Individual catalogue. This colour blends perfectly with Bronze Gold, also from BMW Individual, which has been applied to the front grille surrounds, the window surrounds and the side air intakes. This décor is complemented by 20-inch wheels with the visible part of the spokes in Bronze Gold and the centre section in black, finished off with laser headlights in yellow, giving it a unique look.

Moving to the interior, the sportiness of this model has been preserved with a simple change of colours, while adding greater elegance. To this end, once we open the doors, we will see that the trim is in Bronze Gold, while the full Merino leather upholstery has been chosen in the elegant colour Tacuma. Finally, as could hardly be otherwise on a limited edition, on the centre console and against a Piano Black background, we will find the First Edition logo together with the corresponding unit number.

Mechanically, the BMW M8 Gran Coupé First Edition is based on the Competition version which, as a reminder, uses the 4,400 cc V8 engine producing 625 CV, 25 CV more than the standard version, together with 750 Nm of torque that can be sent to all four wheels thanks to xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive and through the eight-speed M Steptronic automatic gearbox with Drivelogic. Thanks to this, the Competition version can accelerate to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds.

The new BMW M8 Gran Coupé First Edition is already available at the brand’s Spanish dealerships, priced at 221,900 euros.
