The Maserati Levante Trofeo and GTS arrive on Spanish roads with their enormous power
Maserati begins sales in Spain of the most radical variants of its Levante SUV, the Trofeo and GTS, with a special launch edition

Maserati is also another sports car brand that has succumbed to the SUV trend, and there was no choice but to have an SUV in its lineup sooner or later if it did not want to lose ground to its main rivals. To do so, Maserati created the Levante, a beautiful SUV with an Italian touch that unveiled its most radical side last year when they presented at the New York Motor Show its most extreme version: the Maserati Levante Trofeo.
Maserati Levante Trofeo and Levante Trofeo Launch Edition
With the announcement of the Levante Trofeo, the trident brand took the opportunity to apply a small restyle to its SUV, focusing mainly on small changes to the light clusters and both bumpers. Even so, the Maserati Levante Trofeo features small elements that set it apart at first glance from the rest of the range, giving it an aura of greater radicalness if the Levante wasn’t already radical enough.

Basically, the Maserati Levante Trofeo can be recognised by, for example, a specific bonnet with air intakes, forged aluminium wheels measuring 21 inches, a front splitter made of carbon fibre, a new design for the front grille that now features vertical slats, side skirts, a discreet rear spoiler and, as expected, a logo specific to this version.
Mechanically, the Maserati Levante Trofeo is one of the most powerful SUVs available on the market. To do so, it uses a V8 engine with Twin Turbo technology of 3,800 CC that produces 590 CV at 6,250 rpm along with a torque of 730 Nm. Thanks to this engine, it can accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and then reach the 300 km/h top speed barrier, something we can verify thanks to the Corsa mode, where it shows its most radical side, together with Launch Control that allows for blistering starts.

Alongside the sale of the Maserati Levante Trofeo in Spain, the Launch Edition will arrive, a special launch edition limited to just 50 units for all of Europe. This special edition will be available in Blu Emozione Matte, Giallo Modenese and Rosso Magma colours, while the interior uses Pieno Fiore natural leather for its seats with contrasting red, blue or yellow stitching, plus an internal carbon fibre trim.
Maserati Levante GTS
Along with the Maserati Levante Trofeo, the GTS version will also arrive at Spanish dealerships. It is more restrained but will still be a vehicle that delivers great sensations. Aesthetically it will barely differ from the Levante Trofeo, except for a different wheel design and some chrome inserts, all perhaps to give it a more understated look.

That said, the Maserati Levante GTS also uses the same 3,800 CC Twin Turbo V8 engine, although for this model the power drops slightly to 550 CV, which translates into a longer time to accelerate to 100 km/h, specifically 4.3 seconds, while the top speed is set at a respectable 291 km/h.
The Maserati Levante Trofeo and Levante GTS are now available at the brand’s Spanish dealerships, with a starting price of 161,300 euros for the Levante GTS, 196,900 euros for the Levante Trofeo and 206,900 euros for the Trofeo Launch Edition.
