The McLaren 675LT gets dressed in black with a new version featuring carbon fiber

When McLaren unveiled the 675LT, we were all thrilled to see it. It was a fantastic car, and not only for its spectacular looks but also for its equipment. 500 units of this model were built, and it came as no surprise that they sold out within a couple of months. Later they presented the 675LT Spider, which offered this coupé in a convertible version, and it was not surprising either that all 500 units sold out in just a few weeks.

Now, having sold out both versions, it is time to return to the model and offer a new version of it. The McLaren 675 LT Spider becomes the 675LT MSO Carbon. And as its name suggests, it features a very eye-catching addition in the form of elements made from carbon fiber. Its bodywork is covered in a layer of carbon fiber, which gives the black color a glossy look that makes it very attractive. Even more so than the other versions.

A new skin with the same heart

To achieve this look, the 675LT MSO Carbon keeps all the features of the previous models, but adds 40% more elements made from carbon fiber, replacing other materials with it to gain not only in appearance but also in efficiency.

As for what lies under the hood, there are no notable changes to the mechanics. We will continue to enjoy the 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. The unit delivers 666 CV, a power output that sends this car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and allows it to reach a top speed of 325 km/h, something reserved for very few cars that we can see on our roads.

If you missed the chance to enjoy one of the earlier versions of the 675LT, you’re in luck. Only 25 units of this new version will be built, and they will be launched shortly. Unfortunately, there is no way to fit a carbon fiber covering to existing models, which will not be able to enjoy this new and elegant skin. Still, if you already own one of them, you have one of the only 1,000 cars of this type. Not bad at all…
