The McLaren Senna arrives with chassis number 001 and with an impressive MSO paint finish

The McLaren with chassis 001 has already left the doors of Woking with spectacular work from MSO and has already covered 1,400 kilometres to France.

Supercars are undergoing more and more updates that affect not only their main mechanical components, but also their aesthetic features. McLaren presents itself as a specialist in allowing its most important customers to give their latest acquisitions a personal and unique touch. This is possible thanks to the McLaren Special Operations (MSO) department, which the owner of the Senna with chassis number 001 turned to in order to give his hypercar an even greater level of exclusivity. In this way, the first Senna in the United States as well as the first Senna to arrive in the United Kingdom feature a much more special paint finish.

However, the aesthetic side of this first McLaren Senna is not the only thing that enhances its exclusivity, since the owner of this unit has decided to embark on a 1,400-kilometre journey that he has already completed. It is true that vehicles of the Senna’s calibre do not usually have a particularly high figure on the odometer, but this unit has already covered a considerable distance in a very short period of time.

Its fortunate owner, David Kyte, decided to undertake this journey in very good company, as five other McLaren joined this daring supercar road trip. To be more precise, three other Sennas, a 720S and a newly launched 600LT, were tasked with ensuring that the hypercar from Woking did not travel alone the 1,400 kilometres separating its home from the Paul Ricard circuit in France.

Driving the latest creations from McLaren fell to Bruno Senna, among others. However, among the British supercars that formed this convoy, we must highlight the Senna 001, which features a very special livery. This is headed by a series of details finished in Aurora Blue over a spectacular white paint. At the same time, the brake calipers have been painted in Bespoke Burton Blue, with the aim of creating an attractive contrast with the blue of the bodywork.

Of course, carbon fibre is another essential component of this especially distinctive McLaren Senna, since this material has been incorporated into numerous parts. At the same time, the cabin has also been modified to the owner’s taste, who has decided to fit the signature of Ayrton Senna himself on the door sill. Furthermore, the seats have been upholstered in a diamond pattern and the cabin stands out for its different shades of red.

The mechanicals of this McLaren Senna have not been altered, so at its heart lies the powerful 4.0-litre supercharged V8 capable of producing 800 CV of power and 800 Nm of torque. In this way, the British manufacturer confirms that production of the Senna has already begun and that very soon all its customers will be able to enjoy this spectacular creation, which will share its factory with the upcoming BP23.
